This section of my site is dedicated to giving the truth about climate change. In essence, the climate changes. It always has, and always will! Can man do something about this? The answer is both YES and NO! We should continue to strive to understand the mechanisms at work, but not latch onto every hair brain idea and invade other with lies, because it suit our own political agenda.
Following World War II, as industry started to pick up again, the earth's temperature FELL for about four(4) decades. You began to have the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) perpetrators declaring the earth was headed for another ICE AGE?!? Since about 1980, the earth's average temperature seems to be increasing, and now you have the FUD- mongerers out in force again ;=))
You even have site like this - http://www.globalboiling.com/ - who do not even stick to Global Warming, but want to take it to the extreme. Dealing with masses of temperature data can yield mistakes, like what you can read in this article - where you can read things like - "An amateur meteorologist in Canada has embarrassed NASA scientists into admitting that some of the data they used to show significant recent increases in global warming is flawed. As a result of Stephen McIntyre's calculations, climatologists at the Goddard Institute of Space Science in New York now accept that 1934 was historically the US' hottest year since records began, not 1998 as they had claimed. It also turns out that five of the 10 warmest years on record in the U.S. occurred before 1939, and only one is from the 21st century, raising questions over the statistics used in former U.S. vice president Al Gore's environmental film An Inconvenient Truth to highlight the faster pace of climate change. ...".
Some of the FUD-fanatics suggest this debate is over! I do not think we have got to the TRUTH yet.
